Twyla and Heath Lawson have lived in Oregon most of their lives. Twyla, a native Oregonian, born in Roseburg, and Heath, born in the Philippines but moved to Oregon in 1979. They both grew up in the Rogue Valley. They have been married for 29 years. They have a love for the Filipino culture and the Hawaiian culture. they lived in Hawaii while Heath was in the US Navy, and love to go back as often as possible. They have lived in the Monmouth/ Independence area since 2002 and raise their two now grown children in this community.

Heath Lawson – I have always been artistic and dabbling in all kinds of artistic endeavors. I have always loved the riot of color in stained glass and for years have wanted to learn how to make it. Then my wife decided she would take a class in it, I was happy she had found a creative outlet, but I wanted it to be something for her so I didn’t take a class. when I saw how much she loved it I had her teach me, and I saw the incredible rage of artistic opportunities that stained glass and fused glass presented. The best part is that we get to be creative together.
